What anime I'm watching/watched

I originally said I would watch Madoka Magica after I got a job and bought the damn dvds, but the thought of paying 30 bucks for 4 episodes was too much for me.
This caused me to discover Crunchyroll,an anime streaming website that I originally thought you needed a subscription to watch but I was mistaken.

Anyway,I could watch it for free, but I saw Saint Seiya Lost Canvas and Naruto SD,and I started to watch those first, because I've been meaning to for a while now.I finished Lost Canvas and I'm getting started on Saint Seiya Omega and I'm around episode 24 of Naruto SD.

Well,I finally deciced to watch Madoka Magica, since it's free and legal, and I loved it.The first few episodes feel more slow paced but things quickly speed up and since this is only a 12 episode anime, every single one is important.
The characters and their struggles really make this a must watch anime, especially if you like the Magical Girl genre, although I don't think I can go back to Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon because those seem to simplistic now.

Next on my watch list is Sword Art Online.I've been hearing good things about it for a while now,and I want to see if it lives up to the great things everyones saying.

Another anime I heard was good is Girls Und Panzer. From the first episode I watched it seems interesting, although it seems like a typical moe slice of life anime, just with tanks.
In the first episode, there were no guys at all,so I think the setting takes place in a girls only school, which I have mixed feelings watching an anime like that since this could quickly become extremely fast, but I just finished Madoka Magica,so I guess I should be optimistic.

Some other anime I want to watch in the near future is Hetalia,a war anime or something, where the characters names are literally countries like Russia.I'm checking it out because I want to see why this is so popular.

The most obscure anime I plan to watch on this list is The Walleflower. It's a romance comedy or something,I heard good things from a youtube review done by Bobsamurai, one of the reasons I'm getting back into anime is his videos.Shameless plug for a guy I never talked to aside, that's all that's been going on in terms of anime.

I'll talk more about anime later on,but I wanted to get this out of the way.

I can't believe I was so out of the loop,
Crunchyroll is amazing!

Gushing about Ace Attorney

I first stumbled upon this series in 2009 when I picked up Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS on a whim. All I knew is that it was a video game about a lawyer,I have no idea why I decided to buy that kind of game when I was a freshman in high school but I wanted to try something different.

I never played any text adventure game before,I was like everyone else in school, just playing what ever was advertised.I loved the emphasis on story and characters in the game,I was just at the right age to appreciate something different and I bought the trilogy of games on the WiiWare.

I bought the other games on the DS as well, enjoying them and trying to get my friends into them, despite their disinterest,so I gave up on that for a while.I later tried to persuade them but not in the annoying "Play this now!Why aren't you interested? You should be!" kinda way and they at least have some genuine interest in the series.

The series has been getting more recognition as of late, with a crossover game with Professor Layton and the long awaited Ace Attorney 5 on 3DS.
There's one game that we will probably never get and that Ace Attorney Investigations 2.It's a spin off so I guess it's not that great a loss but it's still a disappointment that Capcom wouldn't localize it.Capcom has been doing that a lot lately but at least they confirmed Ace Attorney 5 will be coming out over here.

There's also manga about this series and I highly recommend it to fans of the games, they have the same feel that the series has and I have to applaud the mangaka for pleasing the fans.

The games themselves aren't boring as they sound, being a defense lawyer is pretty fun.The cases are always murder but the killings themselves happen in such unortodox ways, that you'll be wanting to keep playing until you find out how they died.
The series also has a pretty good mix of humor, fantasy, lots of puns and when shit hits the fan, suspense and seriousness.
It also has some catchy music and memorable characters with both funny and badass moments.

Probably the most witty writing Capcom ever had.

Ace Attorney was probably my gateway into more niche games,I remember thinking that there were more experiences like this and that's when I decided to actively seek out what to play.
I started to take a chance on games that I otherwise wouldn't try out like with Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, that's another story but Ace Attorney indirectly got me into JRPGs because of the story aspect.

I love this series and foolishly hope it becomes more popular as time goes on.Maybe I convinced you...?With my high school educated writing?

Not having Justice For All in retail form really bothers me.

The manga is also pretty good,I reccomend it even for
people who don't know anything about the games.

Nintendo shipping rant

As you may know,Fire Emblem Awakening was suppose to hit retail today but do to Nintendo's shipping methods, some stores like Gamestop and Best Buy didn't get their shipment in.
This is nothing new for Nintendo games unfortunately,as a sort of a Nintendo fanboy,I've seen it happen a few times.

Pokémon Conquest,Kirby Mass Attack and The Last Story.Granted,Last Story was XSEED's problem but I am more linient with them considering their size and the unexpected demand that game has,as I recall,The Last Story was XSEED's best selling game.

However,Nintendo of America has more than 9 people working there and it would be nice if they actually shipped the product they're selling.

Nintendo games tend to come out on different release dates than other video games, usually Sunday, but I've seen games ship on Wednesdays and in this case,Monday.Normally, video games release on Tuesdays or Fridays here in America but Nintendo doesn't for some arbitrary unexplained reason.

This never happens with their bigger games like Skyward Sword, the main series Pokémon games or just about any Mario Kart and Mario platformers. So why won't you do that for the smaller releases Nintendo, all you do is make and sell video games,so why aren't you on top of it like everyone else?

Nintendo, change your goddamn policies with shipping, they aren't doing you any favors, this makes you look bad because this isn't the first time that it happened.
If you hype a game up as much as you did for Fire Emblem Awakening, with commercials and demos, you better as damn well deliver.

Sure I can just buy Fire Emblem on the eShop, but not only will take that up a bunch of memory, but Nintendo doesn't have unified accounts for the 3DS.So I lose my 3DS,I have to buy all the games I had again, just like with the Wii.

Nintendo's account problems are another rant entirely so I'll just say that I have to wait for the stores to get their shipment in and just guess which is the next Ninty game that will have this problem.

Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon?Animal Crossing New Leaf?Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 3DS?
But it's ok,I'm sure you'll have Brain Age Concentration Training on time,I'm sure everyone and their grandma is looking forward to that.
